-Excellent review of the types of Scams

-If you have been scammed, File with FTC.com, File Police Report, Alert all credit companies to put Fraud alert on your credit report!!

-Call 1 877-ID-theft

-When doing a search make sure you do not click on the first few results, you will see a small “AD” next to them. Page down to one that does not have “AD”.

-Pay Pal does not seem to be very secure

-Be very careful of Emails that look like they are coming from the Real Company or Corporation…never click on them or input any personal information without verifying it is from the company you deal with.

Trolley is heated

Travel to about 15 Senior homes, route being created, targeting blocks that have a large number of Seniors living on them

Bell used to alert the Seniors and 1 person will go knock on the door

Robo call and Ocean Star notice

**Wear Santa hats, light necklaces, Elf outfit, and battery-operated candles

June will be playing the keyboard

Make sure sound is amplified well

Wreath on Trolley!

Casino Bus trip to Wind Creek, Bethlehem, PA

Meet between 8:30 and 9am leaves 9am sharp at St. Peter’s

1.5 hr. ride

6 hrs. at site

Back by 5:30 pm

Tickets will be sold starting at the Mingle and Jingle Event

48 seats

$30 a ticket and you get $25 credit for slots-so cost is only $5

30 seats sold is the breakeven point

Advertise in Ocean Star, Town Bill Board and Robo call

After Jan 1 you can put in to rent scooters

-33% of Point Pleasant Beach residents are 65 or older -1500 residents!!!

Plan:

-Nov-a letter to Realtors and Downtown Businesses Hand delivered

-Dec-Reach out to Attorneys and Doctors

-Q1 2022-Hotels and Motels

-Q2  2022-Jenks and Martel’s-maybe a Senior afternoon party?

-Rotary Club

-Look into Trusts that need to donate

-General Mailing to Businesses and LLC’s

-Face-to-Face appt. with large places like Hackensack Meridian

-Financial Institutions have a section for Senior Funding

 

AARP-We will apply for funding by showing what we did for our Seniors and include how it benefitted our Community. —-Water Bill Discount.

-We will need to hit the 8 points of Life

-See if we can use the HDTV video that was created and edit it

 

-Meeting set up with the County Senior Services to identify funds and services available

-We need to determine amount we will ask the town for –amount agreed upon and motion approved

-2021 budget review

-Visiting the County Connections at the Ocean County Mall for Senior Services

-Reminder to ask the company that you work for if they do a Corporate Match

-Reminder when shopping on Amazon this Holiday season PLEASE specify the Endowment Fund for Point Pleasant Beach Senior Committee.

-We have a Golden Gulls new email through Gmail

-Some members are not getting the emails, this need to be checked into.

-Who will meet with the 3D Golf to set up off peak senior discounts? Need 2 members to discuss dates/rates etc.

-John D-looking into Technology for Seniors with Steve Ruddy at Antrim.

-Where we can use the Hotdog cart?

-Dog pictures with Santa as a fundraiser, where do we do this?

-Robo Calls are to Seniors 65 and older and are updated each January 1st.

-Discussed Pauline Michaels and a group of ladies that do not have an email.

-Tracey and her Hospitality team suggested sending out our Golden Gulls cards to Mr. Hoffman’s family and Helen Carvers family.  She will take care of this

-Do we have an update from Mary LaBarre on the         Senior Health checks and does anyone need to be
