Golden Gulls Meeting Minutes August 15, 2022
- Call to order. Sign in
- Vote and approved July minutes
- Bingo Recap– Great job, suggested gift cards vs. scratch offs next time, apply for a 50/50 for next Bingo Nov. 11th, Need to order a different color card for each game to prevent confusion.
- Next Meeting–Ask Caryn to discuss her responsibilities as Liason and what we need to report to her and what she needs to report to Admin.
- Upcoming Events–Masquerade/Halloween lunch 10/11 at Firehouse, Giving Thanks Bingo 11/10-Who will contact Elks to secure date and time (1-3pm)? Holiday Lunch 12/10-we will hold at different venue to make extra special. Put discussion to make decision on September Agenda.
- Queen Mary Boat Trip– voted to move to Sept. 1st. Patti A will check with boat owner/captain to make sure we can have this date ASAP. Caryn will get Flyer to all of us so we can advertise. Patti will submit to Ocean Star, All of us will advertise on Social Media, Flyer to be approved and shared downtown, ROBO Call to go out, Theresa to send out email to our 2 lists. Beer, wine, water and mini sandwiches will be served. The boat WILL go out to Sea. Caryn B will accept venmo payment/Greg G will accept Checks etc. Suggested we move this to the first Thursday in August to avoid conflicts and to be able to secure a rain date.
- Treasurer Report-Greg reported we are in good standing
- Tablecloths-discussion. Asked Caryn to lead discussion at Sept Meeting. Things to consider. color, shape, cleaning, material.
- ICE-our 2nd roll out event will be Sept 10th at the PPB Library from 10am to 1pm. Tracey can work the table 10-noon and Theresa D and Christina R will also work the table. Advertising Plan?? Coffee and doughnuts to be served. Who will arrange the drinks/food? John D and John P will present information on how we use our ICE Database.
- Seafood Festival-checking with Caryn to see if we can order more Blue Bags to hand out at the event and have a donation Jar. Also would like to know if we can have a different location for our table. Need Volunteers to work table. 2 hrs shifts.
- Winter Wonderland Involvement-Came up with a plan that Theresa will share with the Rec committee contact. We hope to launch the Carol Trolley at the event and sing some carols before we head out.
- CHECKING WITH CARYN B TO SEE IF WE CAN APPLY FOR 50/50 AT OUR UPCOMING EEVNTS.
- WE NEED LEADS FOR THE UPCOMING EVENTS….HALLOWEEN LUNCH, GIVING THANKS BINGO, CAROL TROLLEY, HOLIDAY LUNCH.
- Please add volunteer sign up list for Oct 10th event to Sept. Agenda.
