  • Executive reports –
    1. Chairperson Laura Schule
      • Bags on the Beach had 32 teams and made a $1700 profit.
      • Kids Inlet Fishing Derby was a huge success and had 50 kids enrolled.
      • New Registration System, MyRec. It will be live in 2 weeks. It was the most user friendly and less expensive option.  They will be buying us our own domain.
      • We have a new Social Media Lead; Sam Berry

  1. Council Liaison Report Doug Vitale
  • Is using emails as an initiative to gain new members.
  • We will be using the trolley again for the holiday lights.
  • Dec 15th party for the Rec Committee at The Boat yard.
  • He wants to add more events to the calendar.
  • Erin got us the band for the BonFire, we will use them again at the Tug.
  • We will be partnering with Toys for Tots for the holiday events.
  • Wants to upgrade Pleasure Park; looking into upgrades for the bocce courts, pickle ball courts or a new building.
  • A public thank you to Lauren Schule for all of her hard work and many hours dedicated to the Rec Committee.

 

 

  • Subcommittee reports
    1. Manasquan Inlet Tug of War                                                 Ryan Simunovich
  • PTO will have a trailer
  • Vendor fees were lowered and we now have 18 vendors
  • Adding a table to name the Gull. $2 to vote.  Committee will pick 5 winners.  There will be a $50 Chamber of Commerce Gift Certificate.
  • The gull will be inflated and facing Manasquan.
  • A tent was ordered in case of rain.
  • Stage will be dropped off on Friday.
  • Doug Vitale has stands being delivered on Friday.
    1. Tricks & Treats Pet Parade (Homegrown) Liz Gross
  • We will be taking donations for an animal rescue.
  • There will be a sign up for a pie eating contest.
  • Working on social media.
  • There will be 9 -10 Judges.
  • There will be a kids corner this year from the Arts Committee.
  • Photobooth – $1 picture.
  • Wants to add games and crafts.

Not sure if we are doing this with the school.

  1. Winter Wonderland Barbara, Liz, Doug, Joe, Steve, Laura
  • It will be held on 12/10 at Pleasure Park
  • We have fake snow
  • The Reindeers were sent the PO
  • Ice Sculpture was hired. We need to put in a more visible spot with a spotlight.
  • Erin has singers that can come.
  • Kelly is going to try and get the HS choir.
  • We need a mailbox for the letters to Santa.

 

  1. Holiday Lights Contest Liz Gross & Kieran Schultz, Laura
    • Liz will be adding a voting system so that people can drive around and place3 a vote.
    • There will different categories for judging. $50 cards for winners.
    • Will place a Toys For Tots box for donations
    • We may add a decorated car category
    • You can write in houses that may not have registered but have decorated.
  2. Show Us Your Heart Lauren Schule
    • We need a new lead for this event.
  3. Sham-Rock Scavenger Hunt Lauren Schule
    • We need a new lead for this event.
