IV. Executive reports –
A. Chairperson Ryan Simunovich/Kieran Schultz
B. Correspondence Notes written to sponsors of Fishing Derby
C. Treasurer Began the year with $22,457.12 (on audit). On
9.15.20 we had a balance of $47,046.41 (summer camp), which included Fisher
donations. Refunds of $23,100. Total expenditures for year total {$36,863.58}. Amount
for recreation trust as of 9.21.20 is $10,439.95
D. Council Liaison Report Doug Vitale
Thanked members on the committee for the great Bonfire and fishing derby.

V. Subcommittee reports –
A. Basketball Sean Hennessy
1. Governor voted to approve indoor sports at 25% capacity; no more than 25
people in a room. Ryan has a call with Superintendent Dr. Smith on 10/22/20 at
1:30PM to make a determination of availability of gym. Maybe just run a weekend
camp then?
B. Bonfire Kelly McGee
1. No updates
C. Family Fishing Day Derby Ryan Simunovich
1. Had 60 children signed up. Event went great. Mayor and Councilman Vitale were
both there. Thank you to the volunteers.
D. Social Media Kelly McGee
1. Fishing Derby and Bonfire sponsors thanked on Facebook
2. Pumpkin decorating contest with Kiwanis club. First 4 or 5 days we already had
30-40 families. Sunday 11/1 is the rain day.
E. Summer Camp Michele Mosca
1. No Updates
F. Summertime Surf Camp Scot Crowley
1. No Updates
G. Wrestling Robby Neill
H. Holiday Lights Kait Greenberg
1. Homes register online, prizes from Jenkinsons and Joe Leone’s. We need to
improve marketing and registration. Start week before Thanksgiving to start sign
ups. Can we announce the winner at Winter Wonderland? Sign that says “I won
the Light contest” for their yard.

1. “Grom-O-Ween”- event at the skate park on Oct 31 from 1pm-3pm at the new
skatepark
VI. New business –
A. Winter Wonderland idea- Doug has met with Boro Admin and Carol Vaccaro. May not
be a true tree lighting this year due to pandemic. The idea of Winter Wonderland came
up, to decorate pleasure park, vendors, Santa, reindeer, ornament making, and various
holiday ideas. Town Hall is on board, and the Arts Committee would help support this.
event. Kieran added the idea of a band or music. Doug will call Kim Dietz to see what
her connections would have. Kiwanis club could help as well. Kait also knows Havennew
sweet shop in town. December 5th is Cook’s Tour. Carolann will check with the
new kids store.

Ryan Simunovich and Michael Passanelo will run the committee. Wendy Yorke can
offer help as well. Saturday the 12th 330pm-830pm
