Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Recreation Committee Minutes

Meeting was called to order at 6:50 pm
Last meeting minutes were accepted by Carolan Ammirata and seconded by Pat Cavanaugh.
Old Business
*Recreation Basketball
Practice has started. Teams should be picked next week. Games will begin just before Christmas. Sign ups were comparable to last year.
*Wrestling Program is on hold utill 2019 season.
*Open Space money which is being given to the Rec Committee uses were discussed but no decision has been made. Handicap swing is being considered.
New Business
*Our second annual Tree Light Contest is set to begin. Carolan Ammirata will talk with Carol Vaccaro of the Chamber of Commerce to see what prizes they will give this year. We will have three winners: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. Houses need to be registered by 12/14 Friday at the town hall. The board and mayor will do our drive around and vote on Sunday night 12/16. Carolan Ammirata will make posters to put around town. Bob Santanello will put an ad in the Ocean Star paper.
Our meeting ended at 7:30 pm.
Next meeting will be on January 28, 2019 at 6:30 pm
