  • Received Recreation Committee Table Cloth
  • Purchased Deli Stand
  • One more push for Skateboard registration

 

Recreation Department Treasurer Janet George

  • Wants a budgt for each event
  • There are 15 open Pos
  • 63,000 in bank

 

 

 

Recreation Department Liaison Councilman Doug Vitale

  • Lights in park need to be re-hung.  Squirrels chewing thru the wire.
  • Phase 2 in the park will be taking down the fences and bushes.
  • Wants to add a sign for the verbally challenged.

Skate Park  Kelly McGee

  • Permit is in
  • It is the same coach as the Spring lessons
  • June 12th Start

 

Battle of the Bands  Chris Bozadzis

  • Sub Committee met.
  • There are 9 bands
  • 6/11 5-9:30
  • Will be selling T Shirts, 50/50, hot dogs, chips, water
  • Chamber will bring their beer truck.
  • Need port-a-potties

 

Vote on the $40 registration for the bands

Flag Football  Bill Schule

  • Head Coach got varsity players to help
  • 3 day Clinique
  • We got uniforms and T Shirts
  • $25 per child
  • Coach is getting local restaurants to provide lunches.
  • 46 registered.  Hoping for 70-80

 

 

Summer Camp          Lauren Schule

  • 91 registered – this is up over last year
  • Questioning if emails are being blocked
  • Weekly registration opens 6/1
  • Room for 250 campers based on counselors hired.
  • Will make a profit on snacks.
  • Looking for guest presenters
  • Adding walking trips
  • Received a $5000 grant
  • There was a sponsorship for child with special needs
  • There are 2 more children in need.

Vote on allowing the 2 children in need to join the camp at no fee

  • Having a hard time getting bands for this and the bonfire
  • Erin Leahey offered to reach out to a band she knows
  • Dates are slated for June 29th and Aug 17th

  • Charter Bus $300.  56 fit on a buss.
  • $68 would be the cost w/o food.
  • Looking into waiting till Aug bc there are fireworks.
