Executive reports:
Chairperson: Ryan Simunovich reported that the yard sign project with the Cultural Arts Committee is
up & running. So far there have been over 40 donations totalling approximately $1100. A topic for
discussion has been how to distribute the funds raised to local businesses. Ryan posed the idea that
businesses who share the Facebook pages of both committees will be entered into a raffle. Also to
further support this effort it was suggested that the Recreation Committee purchase a $50 Chamber
of Commerce gift certificate as an additional prize for contest participants. A motion to approve the
purchase of this $50 Chamber gift certificate was made by Michele Mosca and seconded by Kait
Greenberg. Ryan also reported that the dates of summer camp have been moved to 7/13/2020 thru
8/21/2020, adding that a later start date offers a better chance of clear reopening & social distancing
plans to be in place. A motion to accept the modified camp schedule was made by Kieran Schultz
and seconded by Robby Neill. Unanimous committee member approval. Michele Mosca abstained.

Correspondence: Michele Mosca reports not receiving any hard copy correspondence. Michele
reported that a new email address has been created for all Recreation Committee related
communication: RecreationCommittee@pointbeach.org and thanked Councilman Doug Vitale for his
efforts to make this happen.

Treasurer: no updates reported; Sean Hennessy has not been able to meet with the finance
department due to the pandemic.

Council Liaison: Councilman Doug Vitale further reported on summer camp, stating that the
governing body is waiting on guidance from the Governor’s office, but that the Mayor, Police Chief, &
Borough Administrator are all in favor of continuing our plans to hold camp with the modified dates.
Doug stated that later-in-the-year events (Tug of War, etc.) can hopefully be planned at the end of the
summer. Doug reported that updates to the municipal website are still in the works, and that he has
expressed the need to update the Recreation Committee information to include links to our website
and social media pages. Lastly Doug reported that during his recent attendance at the Open Space
Committee meeting it was stated their committee has funds they are willing to spend to purchase
areas for recreation use, and this is a great opportunity for our committee to expand into the
community.

will be posted on our Facebook page by the end of week, and businesses will be tagged in the post.

Open discussion:

Michele Mosca asked if there was an update on the status of the pointbeachrec.com domain. Last
