  1. Boathouse has finalized they are in as sponsors, Doug will be reaching out to TD Bank, Ryan has Fisherman’s supply.
  2. We have secured the band for the Pt Beach side- Captain Eric and the Shipwrecks. Rec committee needs to vote on paying the band $500.00 fee

  1. Ryan gave an update on this and asked for volunteers. This will be a cash donation event. Wendy and Angela offered to come and create buckets.
  2. Doug did a great job getting the bandshell ready for the event. DPW completed all checks
      1. Mailing list and PP created to showcase all our events- emailed out to rec mailing list
      2. Fall Lacrosse camp idea

      1. ACA licensure for summer camp
  1. Ryan presented the benefits of this accreditation for camp and we discussed increasing camp rates for 2022. Counselor payments are becoming an issue and with accreditation and more pay for the counselors we need to re-visit this. No one objected to looking more into it and all agreed the camp is extremely affordable.

  1. Tug of War- Doug provided an update on his committee
  2. Winter Wonderland- this workstream needs to get started ASAP. We gathered the volunteers for the event, and will start weekly calls. We planned on having it one night, December 11th. Ryan will submit SAP

    3. No objections, passed unanimously
  3. Playground opened officially- looks great, especially the tower. Doug will now ask town hall the process for handling the pickleball court buildout.
  4. Bonfire update- only date we can do this is Sept 11th. It’s the 20th anniversary of 9/11 so we discussed ideas on how to balance the memorial and event. Angela, Lenore and Wendy came up with red/white/blue glow sticks
    1. Town holding memorial at 830am for 20th anniversary
    2. Community coming together theme
    3. Need volunteers
    4. Need approval to hire band up to $500.00, and for event to be held 9/11/21 from 6pm-10pm
    5. Open it up to suggested donations to benefit park improvement

      2. Ryan needs to check when fluke season closes; look at 9/19/21

      1. Ryan needs to send Lauren a list of all volunteers

      1. Not running in NJ this year. Need to contact them to set up 2022 dates in February
    12. Uke/Guitar on the Beach
      1. Going well, some members have kids in it and its a big hit
    13. Memorial Day Parade Saturday

    15. Cornhole League – Matthew Luongo, Mike Edwards
      1. Contacted Jenkinson’s, Bradshaws and White Sands. One page proposal was sent to them.
  1. Jenkinson’s has approved the event for late september 25th, 11am-5pm
  2. Ryan needs to secure insurance from town
  3. Can we do a cash prize? Ryan check with town hall on that

  1. Movie in the park? Ryan checked with Arts, they are not doing it. Katie D will look into a screen rental
  2. Pet Parade – Cauldron and Cupboard may want to host something with Rec, Ryan will check with Carol at Chamber
