  1. Executive reports –

      1. Open position updates- Secretary; need to fill those as we head into next year.
      2. Set up our agenda for the year, need to start filling sub committee leads asap so we can get started earlier.
    2. Correspondence – Thank you notes sent to Beritazza, Havens, Sweet Revenge.
      1. Received FB post recognizing the great Valentines Day event
    3. Treasurer- Michael Passanello
      1. Scheduling time to get oriented by Kathy Beno
      2. Michael needs to get W9 from Berittazza
      3. Total account balance- $9165.68
      4. No more petty cash
      5. Must focus on generating funds
    4. Council Liaison Report                               Doug Vitale
  1. St Patrick’s Day event coming up- Fallon will provide updates
  2. Pleasure Park update- deemed beyond repair by town auditor. Equipment will be removed this week. Doug has a sub-committee together to upgrade park. Angela O’Cone and Keiran Schultz represent Rec. Doug touched on some needs expressed by the community for our park
  3. Skate park- vending machine being considered by council

 

  1. Subcommittee reports –
    1. Spring Basketball                                         Open
      1. Pat Cavanaugh willing to run the league. Sean H is willing to support as well.
    2. Bonfire                                               Open
      1. No updates
    3. Family Fishing Day Derby              Ryan Simunovich
      1. Exploring the idea of another kids derby in early spring in Lake Louise
    4. Social Media                                     Kelly McGee
      1. High school idea has 4 students for us. Kelly will work with getting them set up
      2. Feedback from Playground question
      3. 60 page likes last month
    5. Summer Camp
      1. Ryan spoke to Michele- not interested in coming back due to contract negotiations. Allison is very interested in coming back to run camp
      2. Need to vote on dates: July 12th to August 21, Counselor training week of July 6 – run Tuesday to Friday or Saturday
      3. Will need to post for two lead positions by March and then reach out to old counselors
    6. Summertime Surf Camp                 Scot Crowley

    7. Easter Egg Hunt                              Katie DiCorcia
      1. Kait Greenburg introduced the Kiwanis Club
      2. 2021 idea is to partner with the Kiwanis and their event
      3. Easter Bunny, DJ, Photo Booth, Easter Egg Hunt
      4. Need to complete Special Application form- Saturday before Easter (need to check with the Little LEague Parade); Parade is April 10th
      5. Drive by Bunny event- not interested this year. Ryan will notify Macaroni Kids
    8. Wrestling                                           Robby Neill
      1. Boro wrestling programs started with collaboration of a private gym

      1. Event being run – 2/28/21 by Warrior Yoga. Winter Sound Healing:not a rec event

      1. Skateboard lesson- contact Tom Toohey for information
    13. Winter Wonderland-

    14. Pickleball- Cecilia A, Mary Sakin, Matt
      1. 2 new sets; pickleball sets at Antrim(they have been borrowed)
    15. Summer Soccer Camp
      1. PP Soccer club has approved the event but insurance costs may be prohibited
    16. Tug of War
      1. No updates
    17. Best Day – Angela O’Cone, Dana Brereton
  2. New business –
    1. Feedback from town for rec to run another event. Scavenger hunt?
    2. Blue claws trip
    3. Fallon Schultz- update on St Patricks day event; paint the town green; businesses very excited, need volunteers for event
    4. Discussed idea of setting up fundraising events
      1. 50/50; concessions, selling items at all our events
