- New business –
- Skate Park- Tom Toohey thanked the committee for the space and the gave kudos to the PPB department for enforcing the helmet code
- Tom brought up the space around the park and how muddy it can get, that can lead to dangerous items on the park itself. He wanted to float the idea to partner with parents in the skate park to begin discussing Councilwoman Testa’s idea to concrete the open area. Also explore a smaller component for the newer kids.
- Can we get a lost and found “dock box” put at the park for lost and found?
- Kids are cleaning the mud from the park. Tom mentioned that we can powerwash the park and he will work with Christine Riehl to coordinate that. Its a short term fix.
- Once we get the platform built the skate park can start to take hold with bleacher seating or walkway.
- Doug can bring the idea to the council. Tom can get a preliminary quote.
- Barcelona Soccer Camp- idea brought to council. Antrim is an option but they may not allow it so we may need to explore other field options.
