Borough of Point Pleasant Beach SEPTEMBER 8, 2020 PB Regular Meeting minutes
Due to the Point Pleasant Beach Public Health Emergency and State of Emergency declared on March 16, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 outbreak and the directive that all events on Borough property be cancelled until further notice, this meeting was held via the online Zoom Meeting platform. The public had the option to participate online or via telephone. Instructions were published in the Ocean Star, Asbury Park Press and on the Borough website.
Chairman Ritchings called the September 8, 2020 meeting to order at 7:00 PM. Present were Board members: Chairman Ritchings, Vice Chair Paesano, Mr. Bixby, Mayor Kanitra, Mr. Calderone, Mr. Cavagnaro and Ms. Mills. The Board Clerk read the notice indicating compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act: “Adequate notice of the time and place of this meeting was given under the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act and was posted and sent to the officially designated newspapers in compliance with the law.” Also published on the Borough web site.
Absent: Councilman Migut and Mr. Wooley
Motion by Mr. Cavagnaro, second by Vice Chair Paesano to authorize Dennis Galvin, Esquire to do Planning work outside the scope of the Board with Mayor and Council and also pay existing invoices.
In favor: Ritchings, Paesano, Cavagnaro, Calderone, Bixby and Mills
Abstain: Kanitra
