Borough of Point Pleasant Beach March 9, 2021 PB Regular Meeting minutes
The March 9, 2021 meeting of the Point Pleasant Beach Planning Board opened at 7:00 pm. The Clerk read the notice of compliance with the “Open Public Meetings Act. Present were Board members: Chairman Ritchings, Mayor Kanitra, Mr. Calderone, Mr. Cavagnaro and Secretary Mills
Absent: Councilman Migut, Mr. Woolley, Mr. Bixby and Mr. Paesano
Also, in attendance – John Mele, Board engineer and Andrew Ball, Esq.
Motion by Mr. Cavagnaro, second by Mr. Calderone to memorialize the minutes of February 9, 2021
In favor: Ritchings, Kanitra, Calderone, Cavagnaro and Mills
Opposed: None
John Mele reviewed the upcoming Flood FEMA ordinance and the Board added the meeting date of April 14, 2021 to review and recommend the ordinance prior to the April 20, 2021 Council meeting. The Mayor explained the need for the ordinance to update our regulations so the town is FEMA compliant. Also, there will be a revision to the Master Plan concerning the Green Building component at this added meeting which we will notice for.
Mr. Cavagnaro inquired why we are reviewing an ordinance prior to the introduction to Mayor and Council. John Mele explained that the ordinance is lengthy and will give the board time to review.
Motion by Chairman Ritchings, second by Mr. Cavagnaro to add the special meeting date of April 14, 2021 at 7pm to review FEMA ordinance and revision to Master Plan.

Motion by Chairman Ritchings, second by Mr. Calderone to approve the updated meeting dates.
