April 19, 2023 PB Regular Meeting minutes

The April 19, 2023 meeting of the Point Pleasant Beach Planning Board opened at 7:00 pm.  The Clerk read the notice of compliance with the “Open Public Meetings Act.  Present were Board members: Chairman Ritchings, Mr. Woolley, Councilman Ramos, Mr. Calderone, Mr. Cavagnaro, Mr. Gant and Ms. Mills

Also, in attendance – Bob Ulaky, Board attorney

            Absent – Vice Chair Paesano, Mr. Bixby and Mayor Kanitra

            Motion by Mr. Cavagnaro, second by Mr. Gant to Memorialize the minutes of                March 15, 2023 –

            In favor: Calderone, Woolley, Ramos, Cavagnaro, Gant and Mills.

            Opposed:  None                              

            Sign Review

            She Shed – 606 Arnold Ave. –    Temporary sign previously approved. Now going for      permanent sign

            Motion by Mr. Cavagnaro second by Mr. Woolley to approve the She Shed sign

            In favor: Wooley, Calderone, Ritchings, Ramos, Cavagnaro, Gant and Mills

            Opposed: None

            Beach People Studio – 1805 Rt. 35

            Signage will match Holston next door as far as size and look

            Motion by Mr. Gant, sent by Mr. Cavagnaro to approve Beach People as presented.

            In favor: Wooley, Calderone, Ritchings, Ramos, Cavagnaro, Gant and Mills

            Opposed: None

            Holston Realty – 1805 Route 35

            Signage will match Beach people next door as far as size and look

            Motion by Mr. Gant, second by Mr. Cavagnaro to approve as presented.

            In favor: Wooley, Calderone, Ritchings, Ramos, Cavagnaro, Gant and Mills

            Opposed: None

            The Lift Gym – 413 Railroad Square – Multiple signage

            Chairman Ritchings found it is an industrial location and set back and needs to be  seen. The board agreed.

            Motion by Mr. Cavagnaro, second by Councilman Ramos to approve as presented.

            In favor: Wooley, Calderone, Ritchings, Ramos, Cavagnaro, Gant and Mills

            Opposed:  None

            Pigleta – 1300 Richmond Avenue – Vinyl sign

            Motion by Mr. Gant, second by Mr. Calderone to approve as presented.

            In favor: Calderone, Woolley, Ramos, Cavagnaro, Gant and Mills.

            Opposed:  None                              

            Board discussed the approval of the tasteful vinyl window signage and that maybe there is a way to have to ordinance changed to allow.
