Borough of Point Pleasant Beach April 14, 2021 PB Special Meeting minutes
The April 14, 2021 meeting of the Point Pleasant Beach Planning Board opened at 7:00 pm. The Clerk read the notice of compliance with the “Open Public Meetings Act. Present were Board members: Chairman Ritchings, Mr. Calderone, Mr. Cavagnaro, Vice chair Bixby and Secretary Mills
Absent: Councilman Migut, Mayor Kanitra, Mr. Woolley and Mr. Paesano
Also, in attendance – John Mele, Board engineer and Dennis Galvin, Esq.
Motion by Mr. Cavagnaro, second by Mr. Calderone to memorialize the minutes of March 9, 2021

ORDINANCE 2021 – 13
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF POINT PLEASANT BEACH, COUNTY OF
OCEAN, STATE OF NEW JERSEY, REPEALING AND REPLACING CHAPTER 19 ENTITLED “DEVELOPMENT,” SUBCHAPTER ENTITLED “FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION” TO UPDATE THE FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION REGULATIONS OF THE BOROUGH
JOHN MELE REVIEWED THE RECOMMENDED CHANGES; HE EXPLAINED THE CHANGES ARE MANDATORY TO KEEP THE TOWNS FLOOD (CRS) RATING. JOHN MELE STATED THIS IS CONSISTANT WITH THE MASTER PLAN. CERTAIN GOALS WERE ADDED TO UPDATE AND REVISE THE ORDINANCE.
MOTION BY MR. CAVAGNARO, SECOND BY VICE CHAIR BIXBY TO RECOMMEND AND SUPPORT ORDINANCE 2021-13

Review and amend Master Plan
The Green Building and Environmental Sustainability Element of the Master Plan, previously adopted by the Planning Board on February 9, 2021, will be amended to incorporate recommendations by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the Federal Emergency Management Agency related to flood damage prevention. This notice is being published pursuant to N.J.S.A.40:55D-13.
Motion by Vice chair Bixby, second by Mr. Cavagnaro to recommend and support the amendment to the green element of the Master Plan.
