Minutes from the May 11, 2013 meeting was approved as submitted.
Anne Lighturn opened the discussion on the background for the committee’s recommendation to move forward with the use of FEMA money for repairing the New Jersey Ave. bathhouse. For this project FEMA will now match 90% for borough expenditures up to $228,810 for the bathhouse. There is also $430,497 for the Inlet comfort station. Councilman Cavagnaro felt that the council needed more financial information to make this decision, including vendor interest in leasing the food concession and bathhouse operations. He recommended that the committee ask the council to approach local businesses to determine their level of interest.
After Councilman Cavagnro left, the committee discussed who those potential vendors might be including past vendors.
It was reported that patch repairs were made to the leaks in the bathhouse roof and Anne will ask for a key to access the bathhouse.
