April 10, 2023 Meeting Minutes
Present: Glen Paesano, Tony Novo, Pete Ritchings, Cary Mulkeen, Kristen Hennessy and Council Liaisons Arlene Testa and Doug Vitale
Glen Paesano called the meeting to order at 7:30
There was a briefing from council liaisons on borough initiatives in which council woman Testa informed us of the purchase of 3 lots by the municipality along the inlet, there were no open space funds used in the purchase and the intent for these lots is not yet known.
Another initiative on current open space property at pleasure park is the proposed construction of a 2-story building where the existing park house stands to support the usage at the park. No open space funds will be utilized for this project.
Redirection of traffic flow at the inlet parking lot when restriping the lot and plans to control the washup of sand and gravel at the lot were discussed as well.
The committee discussed concerns at the little league complex of drainage and standing water which resulted in a motion by Glen Paesano and a second by Pete Ritchings to request the mayor and council look into paving the little league fields walkways to improve field drainage.
Committee vote was unanimous to advance the motion.
For our next meeting we will discuss the master plan as well as ideas for current open space property usages, improvements and ADA access.
