#1 Approve Previous Meeting Minutes

 

Previous Meeting Minutes were sent to all Members via email in April for review.

Status: All Members approved Minutes.

 

 

#2 Update of Plaque QR Code/Websites

 

Greg Cox and Joe Rodgers met with Councilman Doug Vitale to discuss the creation of QR Codes and a website link to access the Historical dwellings and history. Doug stated he could create the QR Codes once a website was also created by Chris Cochran, Town Webmaster, and he would reach out to Chris.

         Status: Ongoing.

 

 

#3 Severance House

 

Discussion made to provide the new owner of the Severance House, information and photos, researched by Jerry Woolley, of the original dwelling with the hopes the home would be renovated rather than demolished.

Status: Ongoing

 

 

#4Fisher Family Fund Application

 

Mary Pearce filled out and filed the application for the cost of the Plaques to the Fisher Family Fund, which was approved by Steve Fisher on 11/29/2021.

  #5   Update on the Official 45 Historical Properties

 

 Jerry Woolley provided the HPC Group a listing of the 45 Historical Properties of which 15 Commercial Properties included their ID Number, address, dwelling description and construction date. These 15 will be provided to the Plaque provider, FastSigns, once the QR Codes & websites are created in the first round of plaques.

 

The Members of the PPB HPC reviewed 11 properties that were included in the 1980 Ocean County Survey of Historic Sites. The PPB HPC Members decided that 3 properties should be recommended to Town Council as Historic, 4 properties were determined to be ineligible for historical designation and 4 properties were determined to be “in need of more information” before the PPB HPC can make a determination.  Property ID24, The Triton House, 111 Forman Ave., would need to be sent to Council for Historical recognition.

#6 Current 2021 PPB HPC Budget

 

Mary Pearce researched that the budget for the PPB Historic Preservation Committee for 2021 was $1750.00. This information will be used in the application to the Fisher Family Fund for the proposed historic plaques.

#7 Green Team Committee

 

Jackie Sirchio from the PPB Green Team Committee provided PPB HPC, information on the Sustainable NJ Historic Preservation Element requirements. Gregory Cox presented the information to the Members of PPB HPC.

Status: Closed
