#1 Approve Previous Meeting Minutes
Previous Meeting Minutes were sent to all Members via email in February for review.
Status: All present at Meeting have approved.
#2 Update of Zoning Ordinance of the Historic Overlay Zone
Mayor Paul Kanitra stated PPB needs to identify the buildings of importance in town & give incentives to Developers to upgrade these buildings, primarily on Arnold Ave & Bay Ave. Parking would be free on the nights of scheduled events. Incorporate the use of the Town Parking Fund to acquire additional properties to create more parking. To create a Sign Ordinance requiring all new signage materials to be either wood or faux wood.

#3 Gottlieb Building Update
Gregory Cox stated the Gottlieb Building status was moving forward with construction. Both the First Floor commercial usage & Second Floor designated as a Boutique Hotel were approve by Town Council. There are Second Floor, outside wall window objection issues by the neighboring corner property owner to be sorted out, holding up progress.

#4 Update of Historical Property Database
Bill Lyons proposed deleting from the PPB Database of Historical Properties, 6 properties which were originally identified in the 1980 Ocean County Survey but have since been demolished. Profiles of the 6 properties would be archived into a “Shadow File” but not destroyed. This defines the true Historical Properties in PPB. Jerry Wooley is to verify that the corrected Lot/Block Numbers of Historical Properties has been updated in the town tax records with Christine Riehl. All Members approved of the proposed archiving.

#5 Historical Building Plaques
Discussion of the design of Plaque to be purchased was approved by Committee, Various ideas of Plaque information layout discussed, example: to use a QR Code or Town Web Address or just a simple printed fact about the building. Placement on the property: Obtain building Owner permission, Owner must agree to mount Plaque outside. Should Plaques on a Residential Building be mounted to dwelling or a post closer to sidewalk. Mayor Paul Kanitra cited safety and vandalism concerns for posts near sidewalks. John Monticello looking into companies who make the plaques along with cost. Project to start with Commercial Buildings with letters sent to those owners for approval of installation. Mayor Paul Kanitra stated the cost would come from the Fisher Fund, approved already by the Fisher Family. He wants the project to move forward by next month & keep all informed by Group Email.

#6 The Great Wall Refurbish
Greg Cox stated the Great Wall Refurbish Project is at standstill. The contact for an artist keeping with the style currently seen on Jaeger Lumber building wall, has not responded to inquiries. Mayor Paul Kanitra will push the project forward.

Mary Pearce to announce the forthcoming installation of plaques onto Historical Buildings into The Ocean Star Newspaper.
