Laurie Vicari, Secretary, recorded the minutes of the meeting.
The Agenda attached as Exhibit A was presented as the format for the meeting.
- Approval of previous minutes:
Paul moved, and Marianne seconded approval of the minutes from the June 2019 meeting. Minutes were approved unanimously.
- Treasurer’s Report:
Marianne England provided the Treasurer’s Report. She reported that there was currently $10,650.09 in the PayPal account and $8,333.36 in the Endowment Account as of the end of June 2019. The Committee started out with $2,000 in June 2018, and has increased its balance by $16,000 since then. It was noted that the only upcoming anticipated financial outlay would be the cost of food at the White Sands for the 2020 gala, which was projected to cost approximately $5,000. As such, the Committee members present discussed the possibility of sponsoring a summer 2019 Bandshell performance, which would cost $1,000. Sonya Fisher moved to make a motion to approve the expenditure, and the ExCom, which consisted of Laurie Vicari, Acting Chairperson & Secretary and Marianne England, Treasurer and Chair of the Fundraising subcommittee, approved the expenditure. Paul Kanitra, Council Liaison to the Committee, also approved the expenditure. The Committee agreed to sponsor the Bandshell Concert to take place on Thursday, August 22, 2019.

- Summer Downtown Music Crawls/Art Crawls – James Dalton lead for music, Cathy Jamison lead for business owner coordination. Project sheets were not handed in for the Summer Downtown Music Crawls/Art Crawls, so James or Cathy needs to draft and hand in. James advised that he has musicians lined up to play on Thursday, August 22nd. Cathy Jamison will be coordinating with business owners to schedule musicians to play acoustically in front of their store fronts. Sonya asked that the musicians also go down Bay Avenue to her storefront, Vintage Van Gogh. James advised he would arrange that. The musicians will play from 5:00 pm until 7:00 that night. That same night the Committee is also sponsoring the Band Shell series concert.
