*Councilman DiCicco: thanked those professionals who served Point Pleasant Beach last year – Borough Attorney Kevin Starkey, Borough Engineer John Stefani, from CME, Prosecutor Valter Must and Public Defender Larry Dooley were all good – professional expenses were down last year from previous years – people being appointed this year are good too, but they are all republicans.

Mayor Vogel thanked and welcomed everyone in attendance; in 2006, will be focusing on land use and how we live and grow as a town – have a lot of things to build off of but have to focus, on both community and businesses; have a 100% volunteer fire department – am proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with them – volunteers in first aid squad and beautification toil hours and hours – other committees and land use boards also work hard – our community is blessed to have residents which volunteer to serve time, including whole families – Councilman Loughran’s father served on Council, took a brief hiatus and came back – Councilman Loughran is back again; Councilman DiCorcia had a daughter who grew up in the Beach, became a lawyer and swore him in today; that’s what drives this community – family values – Point Pleasant Beach is a special place – we are truly fortunate to live here.
Father Curt Kreml of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church gave the Benediction.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:24 p.m.
Attest: Maryann Ellsworth, Municipal Clerk
