Letter request – Frank/Nancy Florio – 2017-30 – 211 Randall – Applicant would like to leave bottom of home open on cement pillar instead of enclosing.

Frank Florio explained why he wants to change the bottom floor to just have cement piers for aesthetic reasons. It also will cost less because they would not have to pull out the foundation. Frank Florio stated that his engineer had originally designed it on cement piers.  He had a photo of 214 Randall which has something similar to what he wants to do. Secretary Reynolds questioned the existing ordinance requirements and if this is allowed as an alternative. Dennis Galvin stated that this is not a style that is wanted in Point Pleasant Beach and would need good reasons and this style was used at the Skoko’s condos and they had many issues. Frank Florio stated that he would have the homes winterized.  Ray Savacool stated that the ordinance was tabled that would have allowed the piers so the lower level is not allowed to be open and would require a variance.

Ray Savacool is going to check to confirm that the ordinance was tabled.

Meeting adjourned at 8pn
