Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Beautification Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 PM by Gary Mecca
The following members were in attendance: Mary Steiner, Dave Cavagnaro, Gary Mecca, Penny Mecca, Angela Fioretti, Elia Desruisseaux, Maryann Elsworth, Jacqui Reid,, Kathy Bixby, Sandy Pasola, Beth Cox, Sue Dietz, Cheryl Manzo, MJ Mitchell, Dorothy Hadley, Mary Lynn Ritchings
Minutes – MJ Mitchell moved and Sandy Pasola seconded approval of last meetings minutes. Approved unanimously
Christmas Decorations – Angela thanked all that helped in taking down the decorations. Believe we may need to replace wreaths if the money is available
Maryann reported on status of repairs and replacements needed for the barrels. Barrel assignments were confirmed as those from last year. Maryann to contact Michelle Crawford about retaining her barrels.
Garden assignments also confirmed as the same as last year by Cathy Bixby. Spots need to be cleaned out by next meeting. Mulch needs to be put in place before plantings. Angela and Cathy Bixby to contact various high school student organizations about volunteers (3 hours max) to help with cleanup and/or mulching.
Gary mentioned that when sprinklers are turned on everyone needs to check to make sure they are working. Need to check early in the day so that we know the batteries have been replaced and times are appropriate.
Dorothy reported that the Boston and Harvard garden needs a new hose.
Jacqui Reid said the flower order can again be delivered to her drive way for sorting and distribution.
Dave said he needed a $30 Gaskos purchase orders to replace shrubs.
Flags – Small flags need to be checked to see how many additional flags are needed to be ordered for Memorial Day. Mary to check basement.
