Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Minutes from the June 25, 2019
Beautification Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM by Mary Steiner
The following members were in attendance: Mary Steiner, Dave Cavagnaro, Penny Mecca, Sue Dietz, Barbara Favato, Angela Fioretti, Beth Cox, Mary Lynn Ritchings, Maureen Kale, Andy Cortes
Minutes – Sue Dietz moved and Beth Coxl seconded approval of last meetings minutes. Approved unanimously
Beautification Summer Party to be held at Sue Dietz’s house July 30 at 6:30, everyone to bring an appetizer. Mary Steiner will contact all to coordinate.
MJ still needs to get Seamar flowers price list from Gary so it can be compare with another vendor who were ordering flowers at the high school.
Barrels all seem to look good, all present felt flowers were good. Dave suggested considering red lantanas for next year.
White vinegar is available at the borough yard as eco friendly weed killer
Oct 18 will be setup day for Scare Crow contest, will be voting at the Oct 22 meeting.
Ocean Star contacted Gary about doing an article about the committee. Meeting tomorrow for interview and pictures.
Maureen Kale brought up garden spot by Stella E Luna which was not a beautification spot, done by private citizens. Maureen to advise Stella E Luna
Angela Fioretti to advise Jacqui Glass that she will be getting ribbon soon to make bows for Christmas
Andy still to cut out reindeer pieces, others will need to paint when complete.
Penny to check 100 light light sets in borough hall to see about using. Larger light sets are used in most areas due to limitations in stranding.
Angela Fioretti advised us that Cheryl Manzo is resigning from the committee. Angela will take over water Cheryl’s spots.
Elia Desruisseaux has also resigned from the committee due to moving to Brielle.
Jacqui Reid is also resigning effective the end of September
