Beautification Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Mary Steiner
The following members were in attendance: Mary Steiner, Dave Cavagnaro, Sandy Pasola, Gary Mecca, Barbara Favato, Sue Dietz, Marylyn Ritchings, Dorothy Hadley, Maureen Kale, Beth Cox, Elia Desruisseaux, Alan Steiner, Jacqui Glass, John Palang, Robyn Palang, Michele Mosca, Moises Vasquez, Monica Post, Janine Mastrokalos, Andy Cortes
Minutes – Sandy moved and Dave seconded approval of last meetings minutes. Approved unanimously.
Election of Officers open to the floor for nominations
Mary Steiner nominated for Chairman by Beth, seconded by Jacqui. No other nominations. Voting fully for Mary.
Maryann Ellsworth nominated for Secretary/Treasurer by John, seconded by Alan. No other nominations. Voting fully for Maryann.
Mary Welcomed New Members Alan Steiner, Moises Vasquez, Michele Mosca, John Palang, Robyn Palang, Monica Post and aspiring member Janine Mastrokalos. Held an around the horn introduction of who everyone is for both the new and returning members and why we are here. Made sure everyone knew this was a hands on working committee.
Briefly described what beautification activities are for the barrels (amend soil, plant, fertilize, weed and water, plus greens for holiday season) and gardens (amend soil, plant, fertilize, weed and water, plus fall cleanup.
Also described other activities with the American flags, small on the light poles down town, and large on the poles on Arnold (east of the RR, Broadway and Ocean Ave.) and Halloween Scarecrow contest.

At last meeting Dave suggested that icicle lights remain up all year at the Gazebo. All agreed that they should.
DPW bake goods and luncheon went well in December and seemed to be appreciated.
Mary to talk to DPW about removing greens from barrels downtown
Need to have the bows and ribbons removed from the barrels.
Need to have garland removed from the light poles. Andy volunteered to drop the garland on each pole early next morning, Mary Lynn John and Robyn and Mary will bag and get to borough hall.
