Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Minutes from the Beautification Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by Gary Mecca
The following members were in attendance: Mary Steiner, Dave Cavagnaro, Gary Mecca, Penny Mecca, Angela Fiore , Kathy Bixby, Sandy Pasola, Beth Cox, Sue Dietz, MJ Mitchell , Mary Lynn Ritchings. Jacqui Glass. Maureen Kale, Barbara Favato. Andy Cortes
Minutes – Jacqui Glass moved and Marty Lynn seconded approval of last meetings minutes. Approved unanimously
Gary reported on attending Rotary meeting. They were impressed with the committee work and presented us with a certificate of recognition.
Gary and MaryAnn to attend to barrels, fixing, repairing, maintaining
Garden assignments report by Cathy Bixby. MJ, Kathy and master gardener Lynn Botrell did work on the boat garden. Determined boat is in major disrepair and is dangerous and want to replace in the fall.
Gazebo and Sandy’s Point all need work for weeding. Horseshoe Garden has been completed as is Randall and Niblick. Library has been completed. Bird sanctuary is ready for mulch. Butterfly garden needs mulching, mulch can only be dumped in Perks’ parking lot this weekend, looking for volunteers for Thurs, Fri and Sat.
Committee members will be notified when flower order is ready for pickup at Jacqui Reid’s.
Flags – Mary reported large flags to be delivered to DPW by Friday. Small flags need to be hung. Andy to talk to DPW about using bucket truck to hang them.
Gary reported he has a supply of vinegar that can be used to spray for weeds.
Sue Dietz offered rose of sharon plants from her yard for anyone interested.
