Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Minutes from the
Beautification Meeting
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Gary Mecca
The following members were in attendance Mary Steiner, Dave Cavagnaro, Gary Mecca, Jacqui Reid, Penny Mecca, Sue Deitz. Maureen Kale, Elia Desruisseaux, Dorothy Hadley, Maryann Ellsworth, Marylyn Ritchings
Minutes: Minutes from the March meeting were reviewed and approved as read. Motion Penny and 2nd Maryann Ellsworth.
Flower order being delivered on May 12 in Jacqui Reid’s driveway at 616 New Jersey Ave.
Flower list and diagrams for the barrels and stations plus osmocot will be available with the flowers when picked up.
Soil still available at DPW if needed for barrels or garden spots. If you need help call Gary
Gary will be purchasing Miracle Gro for fertilizing plantings in July
Bay Head Sprinklers will be checking all sprinkler systems to insure they are working, replacing batteries if needed.
Gardens will be scheduled for watering Mon, Wed and Fri for thirty minutes from 5:00-5:30 am
Borough Hall needs new plantings, vote selected Dave Cavagnaro design. Dave and Sue Dietz to pick up his plantings at Gasko’s. Watering schedule there will be four days a week
Gary to look into getting hose for the butterfly garden
Volunteers will meet 9:00am May 4th at Dave’s house to assemble large flags.
Saturday 8:00am April 30 scheduled to put small flags on lampposts downtown. Sue Dietz and Dorothy Hadley to check with spouses for help, check on Andy’s availability, and Elia to check for possible Rotarian help
Reminder about weeding gardens, advise if much is needed which will be dropped at location
Public portion of meeting; no members of the public were present
