Upcoming Dates:
• DOT has evaluated the traffic islands and is developing a plan for trees and pollinator gardens for fall planting of Route 35 north traffic islands Rickover Park and street trees on Route 35S from the bridge to Cedar. County has their own watering plans – Anne
• Issue of borough tree removal permits for county roads still not resolved – waiting to hear from Chris Riehl – Anne
• Seafood Festival September 16th – 10 am – 7 pm (9 hours!)- The Environmental Commission has a booth
2023 Goals – to be addressed
• Ordinance for sidewalk construction that will minimize sidewalk lifting by tree roots and investigate costs and provide a demonstration of concrete grinding.
• Provide on-site training session on hazard tree identification.
