Reports of Officers and Council

  • 2018 Annual Accomplishment Report sent to Mayor for signature
  • Meeting with Chris Riehl  Jan 28th
  • Broadway planting update
  • Trees on 35N between bridge and Laurel Court will be trimmed this spring gave Chris Riehl two trees in that strip for removal.
  • Chris Riehl will check on hiring a summer DPW to water new trees.

  • Removal permits 114 Atlantic and 107 Chicago

 
January Agenda Items

  • Joe Leone and Diane Turton – 35 S tree replacements – Ritchings
  • Other town ordinances for protecting trees from clear-cutting on knock-down and development lots including a street tree requirement for CO for sold homes.
  • Hazard tree notifications  – remove/replace and prune
  • April speaker program – equipment – HS taping?

 
New Business

  • High School Class Tree – planting, paver etc.
  • Big Beautiful Tree – for spring?

  • Ordinance for sidewalk constriction that will minimize sidewalk lifting by tree roots.

  • Brave New World – use funds for tree planting
  • Catholic Church – discussion for tree replacement. New permit?
