  1. 2020 Scheduled and Proposed Virtual Events:

 

  1. Juried Art Show – Carmelina and Lisa leads. Moved to a Virtual event.  Carmelina to update.  Will be presented like an Art Gallery during October 2020 on the Cttee’s website.  Christopher to ensure that website can handle.
  2. Free Photo Classes–  Carmelina lead and to update.  Last class held on August 27th.
  3. Vintage Van Goghs Virtual Art Classes – Sonya lead and to update
  4. What Inspires You Blog – Lauren/Kristi/Christopher to update – training for participants needs to be scheduled.

 

 

  1. Upcoming 2020 “in person” Events:
    1. Homegrown Book and Art Fair – Kim lead – Barefoot to sponsor along with Point Bookshop.  Date set for October 10 from 1pm to 5pm in the Municipal lot.  Cost for table for vendor/artist to be $20.
    2. Knitting Group at the Gottlieb Building or Globetrotter– Kristi and new Committee Member Maggie to update
    3. Downtown Gallery – Kristi lead. Kristi will update with idea to showcase artists’ work in vacant downtown buildings.
    4. Paint At Bandshell – Mary Ellen and Penny leads. POSTPONED UNTIL 2021
    5. 2020 Gala – Joylene lead – POSTPONED – NEW DATE TO BE DETERMINED – Joylene updated FB with press release announcing the postponement of the Gala that had been rescheduled to November 14, 2020 to Spring of 2021.  Any other media outlets that need to be updated?

 

  1. Murals – Jim to update. Stella Luna completed and Jaegar work in progress.  RFP’s to be sent to artists.
  2. Point Beach Arts Committee website – Christopher lead – Christopher will update on showcasing the back end of the Committee website and training.
  3. How to Stay Relevant through Social Media – brainstorming ideas during times of social distancing restrictions.
  4. New business
