Point Beach Arts Meeting Agenda

Announcement:  Meeting Venues for the remainder of 2021 are:  Oct 11 –  Top That Donuts, Nov 8 – The Ark Pub & Eatery, Dec 13 –TBD.

5. Past Events and Recap:
   1. No events to recap during August
6. Scheduled and Upcoming 2021 events:
   2021. October First Friday – Arts Committee to sponsor town First Friday, October 1, 2021. Theme will be “Sweater Weather”.
   2022. Homegrown Harvest Fall Festival – to be held October 24. Art and Rec Committees along with The Chamber to come together to collectively sponsor town event to include scarecrow contest, pumpkin carvings, etc.
   2023. Winter Wonderland Festival – to be held December 11. Collaborative effort to sponsor with the Rec Committee and The Chamber.
   2024. Tile Fundraiser – Kim in beginning stages of putting together a fundraiser – tiles to be painted and then digitally displayed at Food Shack. Preliminary discussions for event in the future.
   2025. 2021 Gala – look to rebrand and possibly hold in 2022

7. Murals –  Preparing for murals to be placed on several locations through PPB. Recreation Building in Pleasure Park in progress, ReMax Building  and BAM BAM Burger on Bay Avenue completed.   Next up, White Sands Hotel AND restoration of the “Great Wall” on Jaeger Lumber Building, across from Train Station.
8. #POINTmetotheBEACH – new hashtag to be used town wide. Arts Cttee worked with Adapting Social and the Chamber to come up with new hashtag to be used town wide when promoting or talking about PPB.
9. Social Media and Website – Working with Adapting Social. All events and notices will be posted by them going forward.
10. New business – ideas for events in 2021 and 2022 and other business.
