Announcement:  Meeting Venues for the remainder of 2021 are:  Dec 13 –TBD.

 

  1. Chairperson’s Remarks
  2. Vice Chair’s Remarks
  3. Treasurer’s Remarks
  4. Secretary’s Remarks and approval of October meeting minutes
  5. Past Events and Recap:
    1. Homegrown Harvest Fall Festival –held October 24. Art and Rec Committees along with The Chamber to come together to collectively sponsor town event to include live music, vendors, talent contest, pie tasting contest, etc.
  6. Scheduled and Upcoming events:
    1. Spotlight Artists at Library and Town Hall – Judy and Lisa to update
    2. Rededication of The Great Wall – scheduled to take place Saturday, November 20th at 10:00 am
    3. Winter Wonderland Festival – to be held December 11. Collaborative effort to sponsor with the Rec Committee and The Chamber.
    4. Tile Fundraiser – Kim in beginning stages of putting together a fundraiser – tiles to be painted and then digitally displayed at Food Shack. Preliminary discussions for event in the future.
    5. 2021 Gala – look to rebrand and possibly hold in 2022 – new venue Boatyard 401 – pARTy by the sea theme
    6. Events in 2022: Homegrown Festival Spring 2022, beach pARTy July 2022, Homegrown Harvest Festival October 2022

 

  1. Murals –  Preparing for murals to be placed on several locations through PPB. Recreation Building in Pleasure Park in progress, ReMax Building  and BAM BAM Burger on Bay Avenue and White Sands completed.   In progress:  restoration of the “Great Wall” on Jaeger Lumber Building, across from Train Station.  Next up – completion of mural on Pleasure Park recreation building lead by Mary Ellen Savage.
  2. #POINTmetotheBEACH Magnet contest – idea to have a contest town wide to design a hashtag car magnet that the Cttee can sell as a fundraiser.
  3. December Arts Committee meeting: Need to determine location for December meeting – any suggestions???  Also discuss possible locations for meetings in 2022.
  4. Social Media and Website – Working with Adapting Social. All events and notices will be posted by them going forward.
  5. New business – ideas for events in 2022 and other business.
  6. Adjournment
