  5. Update on Ongoing Initiatives:
    1. Spotlight Artists at Library and Town Hall –  The Arts committee is promoting the Point Beach Library’s exhibit of works from the The Manasquan River Group of Artists.  Sheila Soyster and Pauline Mickle are displaying their artwork at the Municipal building.  A community “Meet the Artist” event to be considered and date TBD
    2. #POINTmetotheBEACH Magnet Sales – Magnets were ordered through Blazing Visuals and will be sold at various town wide events for $5.  Prize given to design winner?
    3. Little Free Library  – The Committee has received one design submission.  Considering posting a contest on social media, similar to the magnet contest to generate other ideas.

 

  1. Update on Scheduled Events:
    1. ShamRock – The rec committee has asked us to work with them on this event.  Anyone want to take the lead?
    2. Juried Art Show – Carmalina has all the information to run a virtual show.  Looking for a person to chair and run this event.
    3. beach pARTy – scheduled for 7/21 or 7/28
    4. Homegrown Festival – Scheduled for 10/23; no spring homegrown festival this year.
    5. PartY by the Sea  – Considering Spring 2023.  Looking for a venue and considering an entertaining event, The Signature Project.  May not work logistically.
    6. Murals – seeking businesses willing to have a mural painted.  Please reach out to any contacts.
    7. Refresh Your Palate – Planning a date for a “Charcuterie Board” fundraising event and a date for a day time class for the Senior Committee
  2. Seeking New Members – Seeking additional committee members willing to take the lead on events or lend a hand.  Please spread the word
  3. New business – suggestions for events this year  and other business
  4. Adjournment
