3. Secretary’s Remarks: Request that a vote be held to approve the Minutes from 7/10/2023 meeting
4. Update on Ongoing Initiatives:
○ Spotlight Artists at Library and Town Hall – Laura Lutz Art on exhibit from 6/5 through August 31st. Next artist is Emily Gilman Breezley. Meet the artist prior to October meeting. Looking for more artists.
5. Update on Scheduled Items/Events
○ Kids Art Classes – recap
○ Adult Art Classes – a syllabus has been put together by Patty Micca Lowe for adult classes. Seeking a location.
○ Tech help – Carly Rehiel helping us with our website concerns and needs
○ Teaming up With Rec for music events: Summer Concerts have been well attended; last band is scheduled for August 22nd.
○ Sand Castle Contest: Potentially Scheduled for Sept. 23rd on Jenkinson’s Beach. Incorrect Date initially sent out! Arlene to update.
○ Murals – The Jaeger Lumber new mural should be starting soon.
6. New Business:
○ Possible trip to local Art Gallery: A gallery of metal and iron work from the late artist, Michael Malpass is in Brick. Would like to plan a day trip there. Thoughts?
○ Seeking Vendors for Tug-of-War – application is on website
○ Scarecrow Contest – registration to go out in September
○ Homegrown – potential dates of 10/22 with rain date 10/29
○ Other ideas/plans?
7. Seeking New Members – Always seeking new volunteers to run and assist with events!
