Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Please be advised that the milling and paving of Ocean Avenue will continue overnight tonight, where milling operations are expected start around 7 PM and paving operations are expected start around 9 PM. Ocean Avenue, north of Arnold Avenue, will be milled and partially paved, tonight (Wednesday, May 17th). The County of Ocean and their contractor hope to finish paving the remainder of Ocean Avenue tomorrow night (Thursday, May 18th). Please ensure that all vehicles are off the road to allow the road work to proceed uninterrupted.
Concrete work along Ocean Avenue, between Arnold Avenue and Broadway, has been paused for the time being, but will resume this Friday (May 19th), and continue next Monday (May 22nd) and Tuesday (May 23rd), during the day. Please take note of the signs and notices posted along the roadways and ensure that all vehicles remain off Ocean Avenue and Arnold Avenue as directed.
It is anticipated that the installation of permanent pavement markings along the newly resurfaced portion of Arnold Avenue will take place overnight tonight (Wednesday, May 17th) and tomorrow night (Thursday, May 18th). On-street parking will be prohibited overnight for the section of the roadway where permanent pavement markings are to be installed. Please take note of the signs and notices posted along the roadways to avoid a conflict with the ongoing construction project.
