Borough of Point Pleasant Beach LEGAL NOTICE
The Borough of Point Pleasant Beach will be issuing an ANNUAL LOW SPEED VEHICLE OWNER’S LICENSE, (LSV), to the highest qualified bidder, with a minimum bid of $1,000.00, at a sale by public auction on May 11th, 2023 at 10AM in the Point Pleasant Beach Council Chambers, 416 New Jersey Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742. The license, one of three annual licenses sold by the Borough, will be valid from May 1st, 2023 until December 31st, 2023. All individuals wishing to bid must complete an application for the LSV license and return it with the bid in a sealed envelope marked “Sealed LSV License Bid” to the Municipal Clerk at the address above. 10% of the minimum bid price shall be paid to the Municipal Clerk by teller’s or certified check at the conclusion of the bidding. The balance shall be paid within 72 hours of the later of (1) Council resolution accepting a bid and (2) issuance of an owner’s license. The recipient shall reimburse the municipality for any costs incurred by the municipality in complying with the public notice requirements. Only applicants who meet the requirements imposed by statute, ordinance, or other governing law, will have their bids considered. LSV applications are available in the Municipal Clerk’s Office. Additional information on LSV licensing is available on the Borough web site, http://www.pointpleasantbeach.org. The Borough reserves its right to reject all bids where the highest bid is not accepted. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.”
