The Borough of Point Pleasant Beach is currently accepting resumes and cover letters for a fulltime Customer Service Clerk in the Building Department. The applicant should possess the ability to work with SAAS programs performing data entry, fluent in Microsoft program such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, be detail ordinated, and willing to work with the public regularly. The clerk will be working with the department staff to implement new Borough ordinances that involve several job skills such as helping property owners through the application online, application review, handling payments, and coordinating the inspection process, along with working at times to provide information about the program(s) at public events. No prior municipal work knowledge is necessary, however knowledge of floodplain rules, fire codes, and experience with Zoning is a plus. HOURS: 40 hours/week.
