Borough of Point Pleasant Beach Attention Point Pleasant Beach Residents:
The Borough of Point Pleasant Beach participates in the community energy aggregation program, and went out to bid for new pricing in September and in October. Neither rounds had favorable pricing; higher than what you are paying now, so IDT did not elect to sign a new contract. The next bidding round is not until February of 2022. This current program expires on November 30th, and the vendor was required to send out notices to everyone in the program letting them know that they will be automatically put back to JCP&L basic generation service, unless they choose something else.
