Nominate your Block for New Street Trees
The Point Pleasant Beach Shade Tree Commission announces its fall grant program for home and business property owners to nominate their block for new street trees. Because there are so many blocks that are virtually devoid of street trees, it was felt important to involve neighbors on improving the appearance of their block with new street trees.
The commission will evaluate each application on the need for street trees, the width of the planting area and site suitability. If a block is selected, all property owners will receive notification of the award and have the opportunity to opt in or out. This will truly be a neighborhood project.
Block nominations need to be received by September 20th, 2021 for a fall planting. Please include your name, address and contact information. Nominations can be emailed to shadetreeppb@gmail.com or mailed to the PPB Shade Tree Commission, 416 New Jersey Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742
