EMERGENCY CONDITIONS

In the event of a blizzard, hurricane or other natural disaster, please tune into the Borough’s emergency radio system (1630 AM) for information and instructions.

During snow storms, it is strongly suggested that all cars be removed from the streets so that the plows can operate effectively.

REMINDER

Borough Ordinance 3-9 requires that all owners, occupants or tenants must remove all snow and ice from sidewalks. In the case of ice, where removal is impractical, the same must be throuroughly covered with sand or ash also within 12 HOURS after the storm. Throwing, placing, or depositing any snow or ice into the street is prohibited. Penalties and fines of $75.00 or greater will be issued for violating the ordiance.
